DAVID HUME – ‘A World Without Light’

7.30 pm McKenna Centre – Tues.15th September

David is a parishioner of Holy Trinity Parish and will be known to many as a singer in one of our St Peter’s Choirs.

David was told from an early age that ‘You can’t expect to live a normal life, or to marry! You’ll have to content yourself with working in a sheltered workshop!”

That wasn’t to be! Married with children and grandchildren! A businessman of rich experience! The first blind person to participate in a Sydney Hobart Yacht race – and went back for another one! A leader and singer in a show band – the Gondoliers – and now sings with a community Jazz band – MOJO! And a passion for wine!

David’s story is fascinating and challenging. Come and enjoy the inspiration of a ‘man born blind’ who tells his story with dynamism and humour. See also:
