The first Funeral Ministry Meeting for Holy Trinity Parish was a Zoom session, but this was a positive start and showed how ready and willing people are to immerse themselves in the Ministries made available to them.
Funeral Ministry is an extremely important and sensitive area where we can truly showcase the warm, caring, empathetic community that we are. At the same time, we need to present a professional image. Once we all become familiar with the procedures I know we will.
When we progress, and I hope this will soon be possible, to meeting with the families in person, that is where patience and understanding will come to the fore. Time spent with families at this distressing time is an honour. To be able to give them the feeling that someone really knows and cares and can guide them through at least one aspect of this devastation they are feeling.
