All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.
Ecclesiastes 3:20
The parishioners of the Holy Trinity Parish communities -
St Catherine's, St Paul's and St Peter's - have created the Memorial Gardens to assist members of each community to remember their deceased loved ones with memorial plaques.
Plaques can be placed in memory of those interred in the garden,
as well as former parishioners or those who have had a special relationship with the Parish Community.
The plaques cost $440 and are supplied by Arrow Bronze who pay the utmost attention to detail in the manufacture of each plaque, displaying compassion and empathy with the memory of the deceased.
Internment of ashes means the procedure of placing cremation ashes in a permanent location. It is common to hold a service to accompany the internment of ashes, helping to bring closure to family and friends who are saying goodbye to a loved one. Cremated remains should not normally be scattered above the ground, but reverently returned to the earth.
The Church provides special rites for the burial of ashes.
To proceed with an internment of ashes service at one of Holy Trinity's Parish Memorial Gardens, a payment of $300 for the internment service is required, along with a signed Internment of Ashes consent form. Upon receiving the ashes, please contact the Admin Centre to arrange the date and time for the service of Interment.
On the day of the Interment, the ashes will be transferred from the container provided by the Crematorium to an urn. At the time of interment, the urn is placed in the burial plot, generally by a relative or friend of the deceased.
As the Garden has been professionally designed, it will not be possible to place additional plants, artificial flowers or ornaments in the Garden at any time.
I/We acknowledge and agree that: the parish makes no representation, warranty, assurance
or guarantee as to the future use and ownership of the Parish property. The disposal
or interment of cremated remains remain the property of the Parish. The parish does not guarantee that Parish property will always be used for the purposes of a parish. This agreement does not prevent the Parish changing the use of the Parish property at any time
in the future (including selling , leasing, developing or otherwise dealing with the property). I/We indemnify and release the parish from and against all claims in connection with the disposal of the deceased’s human remains on the parish property.
