I am a priest of the Melkite-Greek Catholic Church, one of the 23 Eastern Catholic Churches in full communion with the Holy See. I am currently the Assistant Parish Priest at St Joseph's Melkite Parish, located in the northeastern suburb of Fairfield. I was ordained to the priesthood in November 2022 (on a Marian feast) and ever since my priestly ministry, I have ministered at various parishes of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, while still serving my parish community. I am married with one child. I am originally from Malaysia, and I came to Australia in 2008 to complete my Computer Science degree. I moved to Melbourne in 2011 to begin my career as a software engineer in the financial services industry, something which I still do today. I currently work for a Catholic organisation that is committed to building Christ-centred transformative communities. I recently completed an MA in Eastern Catholic Theology, and my research interests vary greatly between early Christian history, liturgical theology, marriage and family, the Church Fathers, Christology, the human person, and ethics. In my spare time, I enjoy music, cooking, travelling, meeting new people, and randomly walking through the suburbs of Melbourne to source out old historical buildings.
