Fr Paul Gurry

I am Fr Paul Gurry. I was born in 1942 in Mentone growing up in the war years, then moved to the country where my father bought a sheep farm in Branxholme near Hamilton. Ordained on June 15th 1968, I served for over 17 years as Assistant Priest at St Bede’s, North Balwyn; Holy Cross, South Caulfield; St Anthony's, Glen Huntly; St Peter’s, East Keilor and Sacred Heart, Sandringham. I was appointed Parish Priest at St Damian’s, Bundoora serving for 6 years, followed by 14 glorious years at St Bernadette’s, West Ivanhoe, a time fondly remembered. Throughout my Priesthood ministry, I have enjoyed the gift of singing, entertaining and celebrating the Liturgy creatively.
