Michael Hickey

My name is Michael Hickey. I grew up in the neighbouring parish of St Patrick’s Murrumbeena, the youngest of six children in a traditional Catholic family. After marrying my wife Julie, I moved into what was then St Peter’s Parish in 1990. Apart from 4 years living and working in Canada, I have been part of the St Peter’s community/Holy Trinity Parish ever since and my two daughters went through primary school at St Peter’s. Over that time I have contributed to the Parish in various ways including roles as a commentator/reader for many years, and in 2016, I became part of the Pastoral Leadership Team. In my professional life, I work at Monash University in a medical research role investigating inflammatory diseases.
